Writing a multi-chapter fic is fun until you gotta re-read the whole fucking thing multiple times to ensure that you’re staying consistent and not accidentally fucking up your consistency with new chapters and have a whole note page about who knows what and who has what items and who is where doing what

guess who discovered they don't rock with 90% of their art!!!!! this isn't even a vent post, i wouldn't post vents, this is a ramble and an unnecessary announcement that i will be posting more, and posting cringe.

A lot of the art i post on there, i will not deny, it was extremely fun to make. i will not doubt that for a Moment. I have created so much neon, eyebleeding D,J,M,M v,ore paraphernalia and knowing the amount i have ruthlessly inflicted upon the world brings me much joy. However: i have realized that most of these do nothing for me.

How is it that with all this D,J,M,M v,ore, barely any of it feeds the purple, glowing, gaping maw in my soul? . I've just been making shit for this blog because i need to draw d,j,m,m v,ore to maintain my internal reputation of d,j,m,m v,ore guy. I think it looks good, but that's not the point, the point was making my heart flutter and i have FAILED. It's probably why I've only been posting like, once a month now. (that and bc of h,omo mousike)

Comet and Fritz are back on my mind with their weird explicitly v,orey bullshit along with them, and I am going to draw it. It's going to be dimly lit, neon-colored, and be about the exact same thing like I'm a broken record and only i will like it

Like I know technically they probably get it from just doing work as is but at the same time I think if not for that fact he's used to it Thomas would have fun just going down Gordon's hill (look at me and tell me that boy wouldn't love slides if he was human)

Also I feel like if it didn't cause derailment, the engines would get a kick out of running their wheels over different surfaces (listen to me. I think Duncan would enjoy the idea of bubble wrap.)

Without question everyone gets some kicks out of shunting the trucks and probably each other if they had a chance (as that one post put it, like rams locking horns and seeing who's stronger)

woof, okay, so I wasn't lying when I said that this is the most self-indulgent fic I could come up with - I was in the mood for some good self-care and unfortunately for my blorbos that means putting someone in the torture machine 😬

(oh no I just opened the doc and it turns out that, while this premise has been rotating in my mind like a rotisserie chicken for the past several months, I haven't actually written anything for it other than a brief outline, that's so disappointing, I'm so sorry)

so in lieu of a snippet, here's a little summary instead:

After an accidental reveal, Jack and Maddie decide that they love their son—but they can’t accept his ghost side. So, they enlist the help of their all-too-eager friend Vlad and sign over Danny’s guardianship on the terms that he takes Danny far away so that the GIW never find him (because while they want to dissect all the ghosts, they just can’t bring themselves to do it to their son). Danny tries his best to persuade his parents to send him to his Uncle Constantine instead, but is forced to agree when things start to get heated. He’s not happy, no one’s happy… except Vlad, really.

But, since this is a post-Future Dan fic, Danny knows a few of the JL's identities - Batman being one of them. Vlad is pretty easily persuaded to move to Gotham with Danny and Danny puts his "befriend the Waynes and somehow use them to get Constantine's number because dear Ancient's he needs to hide somewhere from Vlad and the House seems like the best bet" plan into action!

Things do not go smoothly at all.

Somewhat of a fix-it with getting rid of the child bride LMFAO, but revamping it so Y!Tiki can still participate. And also a manifestation of how I think Libra/Virion/Lon'qu would be the most powerful if not slightly disastrous throuple (unfortunately no real interactions between them here, they're all too wrapped up in their own things!).
